Cumbria’s all-hours healthcare provider has announced a rebranding.
Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC) will change to Cumbria Health from February 26.
They said this ‘reflects the growth’ of the service since its start in 2009.
It developed from an out-of-hours primary healthcare provider to a ‘diverse and agile’ service operating at all times, they said.
“The service is no longer a purely ‘out of hours’ provider, it now encompasses six GP practices across Cumbria, and multiple daytime services, however, their patients remain at the heart of all they do,” a spokesperson said.
Upon this change, the service will also move to a new administrative site at Rosehill in Carlisle.
Susan Blakemore, chief executive of the soon-to-be-called Cumbria Health, said the rebranding work started last year to reflect a more varied service and involved working with Cumbrian marketing company H&H Reeds.
Staff insight from focus groups and surveys helped shape the rebrand, she said.
There is also a new logo, which Ms Blakemore said is a “nod to our original red ‘C’, but with a new look and no longer limited to a clock which previously reflected only the out-of-hours part of our service,” and now represents a flowing line.
She concluded: “We are excited to launch our new name as we continue to grow our strong and responsive service for the benefit of the patients that we serve.”
