A MOUNTAIN Rescue team came to the aid of two walkers on Scafell Pike.
Thankfully, the walkers could make their way off the mountain without assistance, and the Wasdale Mountain Rescue team quickly stood down.
A spokesperson said: "A brief call on Tuesday about a walker and his son, who had lost their way and descended on an unintended path. They were concerned they were lost and unprepared to walk in the dark.
"As further information was being gathered the good news was received that they had made it back to their intended destination and the team was stood down."
