AN artisan craft and food fair has said that it received lots of 'lovely' feedback after its latest event.

Quirky Ecelectica, which is a small business collective, was in Carlisle city centre on Saturday, February 17, and united over 20 local businesses.

The event is the brainchild of Ashley Walker, owner of resin jewellery, homeware, and accessories business All Things Nice By Ashley, as well as Manor Barn Organics' Tracey Lindsay and after their first fair of 2024, they reflected on the support it received.

Ashley said: "It was really good, it was really nice to be back out there and we had some new businesses as well that were Viking Leather, Beer Hall, and Tikka Box and everyone was really happy.

"Everyone had a really good day and it was raining in the last hour but that didn't stop anyone from coming in."

"You always get people who go, I didn't know this was on and it was really good and we explained that we are on every third Saturday and they make a note of it to come back in the next month.

"We had loads of people and loads of lovely feedback."

Following the success of their February market, Ashley and Tracey have started to gear up preparations for 'Quirky Easter at the Fratry' which will be held at The Fratry Hall, Undercroft, and The Cloisters at Carlisle Cathedral on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9.

"We are really excited. The Fratry is such a gorgeous venue," Ashley said.

"We will have gazebos outside and stalls in the Fratry Hall and downstairs in the Undercroft so there will be loads of lovely small businesses."

Ahead of the event at the Fratry, Ashely also encouraged any businesses who would like to be involved to get in touch at allthingsnicebyashley@outlook.com
