A NEW festival featuring 'truth speakers' such as Matt Le Tissier and Katie Hopkins has been confirmed in Cumbria.
The Weekend Truth Festival was founded by Kev and Nic (no surnames are provided) both of whom are members of the Buxton Freedom Hub and were inspired to create the festival after a trip to Mexico in 2023.
From May 3 to May 5, they will be holding a three-day festival dubbed 'the first and best of its kind' at Feather Knott, Workington.
Organisers Kev and Nic promise 'a fusion of awakening speakers', which include far-right political commentator and columnist Katie Hopkins and former Southampton footballer Le Tissier, who was sacked by Sky Sports in 2020 for his 'controversial views'.
Other speakers include anti-mask and anti-vaccine campaigner Dolores Cahill, and host Kate Shemirani, a former nurse who lost her license after spreading Covid-19 misinformation and conspiracy theories.
On their website, Weekend Truth Festival wrote: "Calling all divine sparks. Strap yourselves in, buckle up and prepare for a weekend of uplifting talks and inspiring solutions.
"We know that everyone should have access to the truth. The truth is subjective, but when so many of us come together we ignite the divine spark within us."
Early bird tickets cost £99 for adults and £49 for children, with VIP tickets also on sale for £149.
