A conference highlighting children's wellbeing will take place in Penrith in March.
Active Cumbria is organising the event, titled 'Physical Activity and Movement – The Curriculum and Beyond’. Invitations are up for primary school head teachers and PE leads.
There will be presentations, workshops and a chance to share best practices to boost physical activity in schools.
Speakers include Katrina Stephens, director of public health from Westmorland and Furness Council, Sport England's strategic policy lead for children and young People, Jo Moss, and Elaine Wyllie, creator of The Daily Mile.

Kirsty Williamson, children and young people development officer for education at Active Cumbria, said: "We are thrilled to be hosting this conference dedicated to physical activity and movement in children and young people."
Describing the event as an amalgam of learning and professional growth, she added, "It’s going to be an exciting and energised day."
The event will be held at North Lakes Hotel, Penrith on March 7, 2024, from 9.15am–3.45pm.
Tickets can be procured from the Active Cumbria website till February 26.
The conference endeavours to address the challenges faced by Cumbria's children and emphasise the importance of their physical and mental well-being.
The event is being supported by the New Balance Foundation.
