Three people suspected to be part of an organised crime group have been arrested and ‘high value’ property has been seized after a police pursuit in Cumbria.

Cumbria’s chief constable Rob Carden said that three people were arrested during a pursuit of an organised crime group after a high-value theft.

He added two more success stories for the police, calling it ‘road works’.

Another was a male that was pursued after failing to stop his vehicle which resulted in 10kg of drugs being recovered and one arrest made, he said.

He added that a separate ‘proactive vehicle stop’, £125,000 in cash was seized and one person was arrested.
