CUMBRIA Police have been monitoring some Carlisle neighbourhoods for crime.
Officers have been out in parts of the city where concerns had been raised.
A spokesperson said: "You said you want to see a visible Policing presence in our communities day and night.
"Tonight your City East Neighbourhood Team has been out targeting those who target our communities in the hours of darkness.
"Patrols of Parklands, New Harraby, Old Harraby, Currock, Upperby, and Botcherby are all on the list with a visible presence in all areas.
"We will continue to provide reassurance to our communities that Police Officers will be patrolling day and night to deliver on the issues raised in community meetings, PACT surveys, and from partner agencies."
