THE menu of a new Carlisle coffee shop and sweet treats cafe has been revealed.
The Buttered Cat, which is located in Kinmont Arcade, Carlisle in the unit previously occupied by I Love Cafe, is set to open on Tuesday, March 5, and has revealed its menu which features hot and cold drinks as well as milkshakes and ice cream.
The new Carlisle cafe will also offer food, however, a desire to source local goods will see the menu offerings vary.
The Buttered Cat's owner Andrew Davenport ahead of the cafe's opening and after the reveal of its menu discussed how sourcing this local produce is at the heart of the cafe's ethos.
He said: "We’ve went back and forth on how we wanted the menu to look for a long time as we aren’t making any of the food in the cafe we’re sourcing it from two incredible local businesses Blondie Brownie House and Dough-Luxe so it was hard to know how to lay that out, but in the end, we’re super happy with how the menu looks.
"We have our hot & cold drink options on there as well as our ice creams with a section that highlights the fact our food options will change potentially daily depending on our suppliers.
"We will have boards up each day saying what’s available in the Cafe which we’re sure our staff will do a marvellous job of updating and utilising our social media pages to make sure customers will be kept up to date on what we have."
The reveal of the Buttered Cat's menu also coincided with the installation of the cafe's signage in Carlisle city centre and again Andrew was keen to thank another local business that helped bring this to life.
He said: "We’re also very excited to have all of our signs going up to help promote the Cafe opening and get people interested and taking a look, John Cook Signs up at Kingmoor Park Industrial Estate, has always been incredible at helping get any signs we need done for my other two businesses over the years so naturally they were the first point of call for the Cafe as well."
