A new Carlisle mixed entertainment venue has said that it received 'excellent' feedback over the half-term week.
The venue features several activities including ten-pin bowling, mini-golf, shuffleboarding, augmented reality darts, and much more.
Game On!'s managing director Daryl Davidson, speaking about the half-term week, explained how the venue has got an overwhelmingly positive response from the local community.
She said: "We were pretty much booked up for most activities last week and the team did a great job.
They might not have got their first choice. They might have come in for Bowling or Darts which were particularly busy but we were able to offer them something else."
"We had a few in from Scotland and they were delighted that we put the curling in because of their links to curling and other people said that there is nothing like it locally.
"The feedback we got during the week was excellent, we had many people who thoroughly enjoyed it and stayed longer than they anticipated and had a really great time so I am really pleased with that.
"Obviously, we only hear the good stuff but if anyone has anything they want to say we are always open to learning and doing better."
Game On! opened purposefully quietly in December 2023 to allow its new staff the time to bed in and ensure that the venue's customer service was as good as it could be.
Furthermore, this allowed the venue to receive its five out of five food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency and Daryl shared how if they opened another premises in the future they would use the same approach.
She said: "I think that the staff were able to deliver because they had had the time to settle in and know what they were doing, so I think that definitely helped.
"I think we did it the right way and if we had to do it again we would definitely do it that way.
"There were moments where we were absolutely swamped and we have learned lessons and I think we can do better but we delivered on the customer service and it was great to have the buzz to have it full."
