A serious assault that left a teenager unconscious on a road in Carlisle is being investigated.
Detectives from Cumbria police said the assault happened on St Nicholas Street in the early hours of Sunday, February 18.
A 19-year-old man was found unconscious in the area and taken to Cumberland Infirmary in a serious condition, police said.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and released on bail.
