FIREFIGHTERS rescued an eight-month-old puppy from a river in West Cumbria over the weekend.
Crews from Cockermouth, Workington and Whitehaven attended to the animal rescue at the River Cocker, Cockermouth, on February 18.
In the rescue mission, crews abseiled down to retrieve the dog whilst using swift water rescue equipment.
A spokesperson from Cockermouth Fire Station said: "A happy ending for this very cute but cold eight-month-old little dog."
