Cumberland Council have confirmed that resurfacing works are set to begin on a Carlisle city centre road.
Resurfacing work will begin on Botchergate on Thursday 22 February until Tuesday 5 March 2024.
Works are between Close Street and Portland Place.
The resurfacing works will take place each evening, from approximately 6pm to 1am (but not at the weekend), and a temporary road closure will be in place, with a diversion route.
The work will take nine nights to complete, weather permitting.
Regeneration work is currently also ongoing on Devonshire Street, close to Botchergate, with that expected to be completed in four or five months' time.
On social media, Cumberland Council wrote: "If residents or businesses require access to properties please chat to the staff on site.
"If you have any questions, please either chat to the staff on site, or contact the Highway’s Hotline 0300 373 3736.
"We appreciate your support and patience during these works and apologise for any inconvenience and disruption caused."
