A flood warning has been issued this morning in Cumbria due to heavy rainfall and high water levels.
Flooding is possible at Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water.
The Gov.Uk website writes: "River levels remain high this morning on the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and the level of Derwent Water will continue to remain high following heavy rainfall yesterday morning.
"A further band of rainfall during the early hours of this morning saw some further limited river response but levels will recede today apart from the level of Derwent Water which remains high but stable today and will only fall slowly over the next few days.
"Some further showers can be expected at times today and on Friday and are likely to be wintry over higher ground.
"Flooding may continue to affect locations near the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Derwent Water.
"We will continue to monitor levels closely.
"Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water."
