A rising Carlisle DJ is hoping to use his passion for mixing to bring people together.

Lewis Knights, who was originally from Cambridge but is now based in Carlisle, is aiming to unite people through music and play some of the biggest events in the world.

However, before becoming the next global DJ, Lewis is perfecting his trade out of his Carlisle bedroom and is making use of social platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok, where he is amassing a loyal following, to show off his talent and passion for creating music.

Lewis has yet to play any events, however, believes that everyone has to start someone and explained where his passion for DJing came from and how he wants to bring people together with the music he creates.

He said: "It came from watching a lot of other DJs really and having a passion for music, I wanted to get involved myself.

"I have always wanted to be a performer of some kind and DJing is where it is at the minute.

"Sharing music, sharing a good track with someone is a great feeling."

Lewis now has sights set on some of the DJing world's biggest events such as the Boiler Room which has hosted several international stars such as Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, and Fred Again.

However, Lewis knows that his journey to DJing glory will be a slow one but is hoping that by utilising social media he will be able to achieve his dreams.

He said: "I seem to get a bit of views but my account is still small but I am hoping to build it up but at the moment I am enjoying it more than anything,

"I have not actually played a live set yet, I am just a bedroom DJ and I played a little house party a month ago but I am hoping to get a couple of gigs soon.

"If I could I would drop everything right now and just start DJing but it is a long process but that is the eventual goal."
