PENRITH retirees have raised almost £1,500 for Blood Bikes Cumbria through a successful fundraising drive and Winter Warmer event.

This initiative took place at Churchill Retirement Living’s Dutton Lodge, beginning in the lead-up to Christmas.

The Winter Warmer event, on February 22,  welcomed visitors to step out of the cold and into the warmth of  Dutton Lodge’s Owners’ Lounge, where a small charity contribution granted them access to coffee, cake, and warm chatter.

An impressive £1495.97 was raised in total.

Representatives of Blood Bikes Cumbria were also present, enlightening guests about their charity run by volunteers which provides emergency medical courier services to local hospitals.
