Two men from Wigton have been arrested as part of an investigation into a recent spate of trailer thefts.
Earlier today February 23, Cumbria Police's Rural Crime Team and Tactical Support Group carried out arrest enquiries as part of the investigation.
During these enquiries, officers seized suspected stolen property, cannabis and also vehicles believed to be connected to the thefts.
A 25-year-old man, from Wigton, was arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, theft and handling stolen goods.
A 23-year-old man, from Wigton, was arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, theft, handling stolen goods and supply of a controlled drug class B – cannabis.
Both men remain detained for questioning today.
