A DRIVING ban has been handed to a Carlisle teenager after his careless driving led to him crashing and colliding with two parked vehicles on a residential road.
Samuel Glover, 19, of Specklewood Drive, Carlisle, pleaded guilty to the offence.
The charge states that he was driving a BMW on Currock Road on June 30 last year when overtook another car “at speed” as his car approached a roundabout. “You lost control and span out and collided with two vehicles,” said the charge.
One of the damaged vehicles was a parked van. Magistrates imposed the ban and a fine of £220, with an £88 victim surcharge. The driving ban will last for three months, said magistrates.
