A SUSPECT hiding in a pub in Whitehaven after alleged criminal damage has been arrested.
Officers from Copeland's Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested the man on New Street around 4.20pm today (February 23), following help from the community.
A spokesperson from Copeland Police said: "Thanks to the diligence of the community, officers were directed to a local pub where the suspect was hiding.
"Officers covered the front and back entrances to prevent his escape.
"Almost textbook, the suspect ran out through the rear entrance of the pub in an attempt to escape, straight into the arms of PC 3157 and PC 2241 who promptly arrested him for the relevant offence."
