SHOCKING pictures showing the devastation caused by a barn fire have been released.
Firefighters from across Cumbria were tasked with extinguishing a barn fire with vehicles inside.
A spokesperson from Keswick Fire Station said that just after 10pm last night (February 23) Keswick, Cockermouth, and Penrith firefighters, along with Penrith’s water bowser, were called out to the incident at How Lane in Portinscale.
The barn had cars, a quad bike, and large quantities of wood inside.
A spokesman said: “Crews worked hard for several hours to extinguish the fire and stop it spreading to the adjoining properties, but unfortunately weren’t able to save the contents of the barn.
“The incident was closed down at approximately 3am."
