Their Bristol Rovers team eventually made Short work of Carlisle United...
...which made it a successful day against their home-city club for THREE Cumbrian brothers on Saturday.
Tom, Greg and Joe Short all work for Carlisle's most recent opponents.
The fitness and strength and conditioning coaches were all in the Rovers backroom staff for the home side's 2-1 victory over the Blues in League One.
Tom is head of sports science at the Memorial Stadium club with Greg - who was previously strength and conditioning coach at Carlisle - now holding a similar position in Rovers' first-team staff.
Joe also works on the fitness coaching side at the club, and they caught up with family members at the Carlisle game on Saturday, including their uncle Paul Farish.
That followed a result which extended United's losing run which is, sadly, anything but short...
