A popular 90s indie rock band is coming to Carlisle later this year.
In the vibrant tapestry of British indie and Britpop history, The Bluetones stand as an enduring emblem of musical excellence, captivating audiences since their formation in 1993.
Comprising Mark Morriss, Adam Devlin, Scott Morriss, and Eds Chesters, the Hounslow-based band soared to prominence with their debut album, "Expecting to Fly" (1996).
Infused with Mark Morriss's distinctive vocals and the band's melodic, guitar-driven sound, the album delivered hits like "Slight Return" and "Bluetonic," etching their place in the annals of Britpop.
Beyond the genre's heyday, The Bluetones evolved their sound across albums like "Return to the Last Chance Saloon" (1998) and "Science & Nature" (2000).
Their enduring appeal lies in the ability to transcend temporal boundaries, resonating with both nostalgic fans and new listeners.
With a penchant for crafting timeless melodies, The Bluetones embody the essence of enduring musical craftsmanship, leaving an indelible imprint on the fabric of British indie rock.
They will be bringing their music to Carlisle's Old Fire Station on November 3, 2024.
