The family of a two-year-old boy who fell ill near Penrith have thanked the urgent treatment centre in Penrith for their 'excellent service' and being 'brilliant' with their son.
The young boy became unwell as the family were staying at popular holiday destination, Center Parcs.
The family used the NHS' 111 service which advised them to take him to the urgent treatment centre in Penrith.
At the centre, they were able to see a doctor within half an hour.
“We were staying at Center Parcs when our two-year-old son became unwell with a very high temperature," said the family.

"111 sent us to the Urgent Treatment Centre in Penrith. The service was excellent and incredibly quick.
"We were seen by two nurses within 10 minutes and a doctor within half an hour. They were very thorough and brilliant with our little boy.
"Thank you very much for this excellent, friendly service.”
North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) said that the comment was 'lovely' and reminded the public of the work of their urgent treatment centres in Penrith and Keswick.
