A café in Carlisle has been awarded a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Caffe Nero at the front of House of Fraser in the city centre was given the score after assessment on January 20, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
It means that of Cumberland's 539 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 470 (87 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
The prominent site on Carlisle’s high street, which dates back to 1906, was purchased last year for £750,000 after a previous attempt of a sale at £1.25 million fell through.
