One of the biggest entertainment and social events on Carlisle's calendar has announced a major headliner.

Ladies Day, a yearly event held at Carlisle Racecourse and this year sponsored by VL Aesthetics, will welcome Charlie Hedges, from BBC Radio 1's Rickie, Melvin and Charlie show, to headline as a DJ.

Kicking off on August 5 this year, VL Aesthetics Ladies Night is set to be a huge event for the city's landmark.

A limited number of tickets are being sold for £20, an offer available until midnight on March 4, and can be bought by clicking here.

Hedges, who also worked on Kiss FM, will perform a set after the races, a spokesperson from the racecourse said.
