A man has been charged with possession of a bladed article and resisting arrest after an incident in Whitehaven.
Police were called to Whitehaven on February 27 following reports that a man was in possession of a knife.
A stop search was conducted by PC 2853 Garrett of the neighbourhood policing team, after further enquiries in the area one male was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article by PC Garrett.

A spokesperson for Copeland Police said: "The arrested male was charged on February 28 with the offences of possession of a bladed article and resisting arrest.
"Many thanks to the vigilant members of the public who made this known to the Police, we all have a role to play in keeping knives off our streets."
