CUMBRIA Freemasons have donated £4,000 to Prism Arts in Carlisle

This is part of a funding scheme from the Masonic Charitable Trust. 

Prism Arts supports people in North Cumbria with disabilities and learning difficulties.

A Freemasons spokesperson said: "The head of Cumbria Freemasons was again delighted to donate a wonderful £4,000 to Prism Arts, from Carlisle. This funding includes match funding from the Masonic Charitable Foundation

"Prism Arts deliver programmes for learning-disabled and/ or autistic creatives to drive their own journey and develop as artists, leaders, and advocates for change.

"Prism Arts was established in 1987 by a group of five artists committed to developing opportunities for people facing barriers to the arts.

"For over 35 years Prism Arts has been delivering inclusive theatre and visual art workshops for people with learning disabilities and/ or autism.

"We were very fortunate to have a piece of their artwork donated which will be proudly displayed in Carlisle Masonic Hall Carlisle Freemasons."
