More than 10 babies across North and West Cumbria will have to wait a little longer than expected for their first 'official birthday'.
2024 is a leap year which means that February has 29 days rather than the usual 28.

Leap years only occur once every four years meaning that those born on February 29 have to wait a little while longer than most for their birthday.
There were 13 babies - including a set of twins - born at either the Cumberland Infirmary or the West Cumberland Hospital on February 29 meaning that their first 'official' birthday is still almost four years away!
