TEMPERATURES across Cumbria will be gradually rising to average as we go into the middle of next week, according to the Met Office.
The start of Sunday will be chilly, but low cloud will lift to give bright or sunny spells throughout the day. The weather will also be drier than previous days. There will be light winds and temperatures will be close to average, with a maximum temperature of 7°C.
The weather will start dry on Monday, but the rain will arrive later and turn windier. There will be heavy showers on Tuesday, but then largely dry on Wednesday with sunny spells. Temperatures will again be 'around average.'
In Carlisle, temperatures will peak at 9°C at around 3pm on Monday to Wednesday. In Kendal temperatures will also peak at 9°C over the coming days and in Barrow 10°C is forecasted on the afternoon of Wednesday.
