HAIRY Bikers fans have been cooking dishes in memory of Dave Myers, who died last week.
Barrow-born Dave Myers died aged 66 on February 28. He became famous on TV with his co-star Si King for his cooking and travelling programmes. Dave and Si made a wide range of dishes on TV over the years inspired by British and global cuisines, from Dave's roots in Morecambe Bay to Asian, Mediterranean and- American food.
The bikers also released several cookbooks over 20 years of fame, including a successful dieters series.
Fans have been sharing the dishes they made over the weekend through X, formerly known as Twitter, by using #davemyers #RIPDave and #RIPBikerDave and under the Hairy Bikers post announcing his death.
Aussie Battler shared their 'family favourite' lamb sfiha. According to the Hairy Bikers website, this is a Syrian-inspired flatbread topped with lamb or beef and finished with lemon zest, red onion and fresh parsley 'perfect for a sociable lunch or casual dinner.'
