Kerry Irving, the companion of Max the miracle dog, is set to appear at a book launch and conversation in Carlisle next month.
The evening, which will be hosted by Helen Millican, will celebrate the release of the final book about Max the miracle dog.
In the final installment in the adventures of Max the miracle dog, Kerry Irving chronicles the twilight years of his beloved companion and celebrates the incredible joy this extraordinary pet provided to him.
Max was adopted by Kerry in 2006 and gained worldwide fame when videos of his walks in the Lake District were posted on Facebook.
The therapy dog was later immortalised in his hometown of Keswick with a bronze statue and in 2021, he became the first pet to be given the PDSA's Order of Merit, known as the animal OBE.
Max sadly developed a brain tumour, and passed away in April 2022.
The event is set for April 11 at the Old Fire Station in Carlisle, with tickets available now for £10.
