NEW data has revealed the noisiest neighbours in Carlisle... whether it be barking dogs keeping you up, or rowdy parties.

In a response to a Freedom of Information request by the News & Star,  Cumberland Council disclosed the number and nature of noise complaints received by their Environmental Health team throughout 2023.

The records, covering the period from January 1 to December 31, highlight a total of 138 noise complaints lodged within Carlisle.

However, information was provided only for cases where complainants submitted 'noise diaries', resulting in an investigation of 117 instances by the Environmental Health team.

Some street names have been withheld to safeguard anonymity.
