An Italian all-female tribute to Deep Purple is set to perform in Carlisle this summer.
Deep Purple are considered by many to be the most innovative and successful rock band of all time, but in the last four years, an all-female band from Italy has emerged that can emulate Deep Purple’s magic every night!
Strange Kind of Women, whose name was inspired by one of Deep Purple’s best-known songs, made their live debut in January 2019 and within only a few months, the band were receiving passionate requests for appearances from all over the world.
Their live set includes the Made in Japan classics such Child In Time, Smoke On The Water, Strange Kind Of Woman, Highway Star, Space Truckin’, all performed with a bombastic, dynamic sound to match the original from over 50 years ago.
Their two hour set includes other songs from the Gillan era such as Speed King and Into the Fire, while their powerful stage performance also features classics from a later era such as Lay Down Stay Down, Mistreated and the electrifying Burn.
They will perform at the Old Fire Station in Carlisle at 8pm on Friday, June 14, with tickets available now for £17.50.
