An art competition has been launched to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI.
Lakes and Dales Co-op and RNLI are aiming to engage the inner Picasso, Warhol or Rembrandt in young, budding artists nationwide.
The competition encourages under 18s to design the front cover of Jigsaw, Lakes and Dales’ magazine, embodying the RNLI's legacy of lifesaving and volunteering.
The winning design will be showcased to a vast audience of Co-op members, and the winner will receive a range of RNLI prizes.
This competition initiative is part of a charity partnership between the Lakes and Dales Co-op and RNLI, running until August 2024.
Entries should capture the spirit and values of the RNLI, including selflessness, courage, dependability and trustworthiness.
Kirsty Connell, membership and community manager, said: "This competition is a wonderful way to commemorate such a huge milestone for the RNLI and our shared commitment to our communities."
Paul McKeown, fundraising and partnership lead for the RNLI in Scotland, added: "What a fantastic way for young people to showcase their creativity and join us in celebrating this significant milestone."
If you are interested in taking part in the new art competition, make sure to submit your entries by the April 19 deadline.
