CUMBRIA Police have been tackling a traffic issue in Penrith.
Vehicles that are prohibited from using a certain route as a shortcut have been continuing to do so.
Officers have been taking action and working with organisations in the area to reduce the issue.
A spokesperson said: "Vehicles prohibited under the Traffic Regulation Order are still using Castletown as a shortcut.
"We have continued our engagement with HGV drivers who are using Castletown as a shortcut to the industrial estates.
"We have liaised with Westmorland and Furness Highways for the vegetation covering the signs to be cut back.
"We will be visiting businesses on the industrial estate asking them to remind HGVs visiting their business to use the correct route in, continuing to engage with haulage firms around the TRO."
