CUMBRIA Pride has added another event to its annual calendar.
Cumbria Pride has been running events for 15 years, with groups supporting the LGBTQ+ community for around 30 years in the county.
A spokesperson said: "30 years ago this year, a charity called OutREACH Cumbria was formed to help support the LGBT+ community in and around Cumbria. 10 years later a youth group called PiNC was formed.
"Then five years after that a very small get-together was planned to bring people together, and this was the start of Cumbria Pride.
"At that time nobody thought Pride would still be needed 15 years on, or even the services of OutREACH Cumbria (and the many other organisations we now have) 30 years on.
"We remain to celebrate 15 years of Cumbria Pride. Well done everyone."
The Pride events scheduled for this year include Furness Pride on May 25, Kendal Pride from May 14 to 16, Silloth Pride on June 29, Ulverston Pride on July 20, Pride by the Harbourside on August 3, and Cumbria Pride on September 21.
