Cumbria Police have released a series of appeals to the public for help with cases that they are working on. 

Penrith:

Police are investigating an incident of assault at The Warehouse nightclub in Penrith. The incident took place on the morning of Sunday the 24 March 2024 between 1:40-1:55am.

Three members of the public, two males and one female, were assaulted by a male and female inside the night club. The victims sustained bruising and swelling from the incident. 

Police are seeking any information from those who may have witnessed the assaults, and those who may know the male and female suspects involved in the incident.

Penrith: 

Cumbria Police are investigating an incident that occurred on March 26  at the Methodist Church, Wordsworth Street, Penrith.

The incident occurred at around 10:35am, where two people were assaulted by another group of people present at the location. No serious injuries were sustained.

Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen or heard what happened to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Penrith:

Police are investigating after graffiti was found on Brougham Castle, near Penrith.

It is believed to have happened on February 24.

It will need specialist treatment to remove the graffiti due to the age of the stonework.

Officers are appealing for information.

Cockermouth:

Police are currently investigating a public order offence and threatening behaviour by a man in the area know as the Hay in Cockermouth.

During the incident it is reported a man described as white, in his 40's, stocky build, long hair and a beard approached the victim and was threatening towards him.

This occurred 31 March 31 between 4:50pm and 4:55pm.

Silloth:

Police are investigating an incident which occurred between 11:45pm on the 28 March and 2:30am on March 29 in Silloth, in the areas of Skinburness Road and Criffel Street.

Three men; aged 28, 25 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

All have been released on police bail.

The victim in the case, a 32-year-old man, has received significant injuries during the incident and has been treated in hospital.

A number of vehicles have been involved in the incident including a black VW Passat and a white Seat Ibiza.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the areas of Skinburness Road, Criffel Street, and surrounding streets or the B5302 around Causewayhead to check any CCTV, Dashcam or Doorbell camera footage you have, which may show these vehicles, in order to assist officers with their investigation.

Police are also asking that any members of the public who live or were in these areas listed above and have witnessed the incident or have any knowledge of it, please make contact.

Carlisle:

Police are investigating a dangerous dog out of control following an incident on March 22 at around 8:56am on Blackwell Road, Carlisle.

A woman had been knocked to the ground and bitten the woman’s sleeve and arm causing bruising and scratches.

The dog is described as large and brown
