A PREVIOUSLY approved barn conversion near Carlisle could demolished and replaced with a new home if the plans are approved.

The planning application is for land at Millholme, Roweltown, and it requests adjoining barns are also demolished as well as a change of use for the agricultural land.

In addition, a detached garage could be built as well two new agricultural buildings.

According to a design and access statement the demolition of the stone barn and several pole barns would create a garden area and new garage for Millholme and the relocation of residential approval from demolished barn to new build dwelling.

The report adds: "The site is an agricultural farm steading which has been subject to improvement over the last few years."

The report states that the site has several dilapidated sheds in need of modernisation and it adds: "Millholme forms the residential aspect of the current site, with approval for a stone barn (directly in front of Millholme) to be converted into additional residential accommodation.
