A man was stopped by Cumbria Police on April 11 for texting whilst driving. 

He was pulled over by police in the early hours of Thursday morning where he admitted to 'texting his mate'.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "As part of Fatal 4 Month, we are targeting drivers who are committing offences such as using their phones, speeding, drink / drug driving and not wearing a seatbelt.

"This driver was stopped on the M6 this morning and admitted texting his mate.

"Driver reported."
