A chippy in Carlisle has been handed a new food hygiene rating.
Oktays, on St Nicholas Street in Carlisle, scored three out of five, indicating 'generally satisfactory' food hygiene, after an assessment on March 9.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building were deemed 'generally satisfactory', as was the management of food safety.
Its hygienic food handling was deemed 'good'.
It means that of Cumberland's 235 takeaways with ratings, 145 (62 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
