WASDALE Mountain Rescue team was called out to a walker who slipped and injured his ankle while descending from Scafell Pike.
The incident, on April 14, prompted a full callout at 7.22am.
With the walker unable to bear weight, a medical assessment was conducted on-site, followed by pain relief and splinting of the ankle.
The injured hiker was then transferred down to Brackenclose before being handed over to a land ambulance for transport to the hospital.
The team said: "We wish the walker a swift recovery, and hope to see him back on the fell soon."
