An emergency road closure has been put in place, expected to last six days.
The notice of the closure will be in force immediately (April 18) for a period of up to 21 days as and when relevant signage is displayed.
The closure itself is expected to last six days once in effect ‘due to the likelihood of danger as a result of a loss of electricity supply’.
Skinner Street, in Cockermouth, from number 13, extending southeasterly for about 15 metres.
An alternative route via unrestricted sections of Skinner Street, Lorton Road, and Victoria Road, as well as a way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, will be maintained throughout.
