CARLISLE pub-goers are set to welcome The Howard Arms back into business after its previous closure in September 2023.
Whilst the opening date remains under wraps for the pub on Lowther Street, the new owners posted an announcement on social media, garnering lots of support.
"At The Howard Arms, we're all about celebrating tradition, camaraderie, and of course, fantastic ales and beers.
"Picture yourself stepping into a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where every pint is poured with care and every moment is filled with laughter and good company.
"But here's the best part – we're not just here to run a pub; we're here to become a real hub for the community.
"We want to work hand in hand with you to create a buzzing, vibrant space where everyone feels at home
"So, let's raise a glass to the start of something special – a real ale revival right here in Carlisle," a post read.
The opening date is set to be announced on Facebook soon.
The former owners of the pub in the heart of Carlisle announced the decision to call 'last orders' in September last year.
The duo that ran the pub for four years previously cited the impact of Covid, staff shortages, ever-rising energy bills and hospitality costs amongst their reasoning to shut up shop.
Despite these tests, the former owners managed to keep the spirit of The Howard Arms alive and thriving with a customer feedback rating of 4.5, earning the pub a prestigious Travellers Choice award.
