A LAKE district walking route has been named number one by walking enthusiasts Sally's Cottages, in new research.
There is no better way of experiencing the Lake District’s famous landscapes than a crisp spring hike, and, as searches for ‘best hikes in the UK’ rose by +5000% over the past 30 days, it seems many Brits are looking to lace their hiking boots for spring.
To help hikers discover their next Lake District hiking route, the staycation experts at Sally’s Cottages have rounded up their five favourite Lake District hikes to take this spring, from easy, family-friendly routes, to challenging Lake District mountain hikes.
Their top five picks were selected as:
- Scafell Pike via The Corridor Route
- Buttermere Lake Walk
- Blencathra via Hall's Fell Ridge
- Hawes End, Cat Bells, and Derwent Circular
- Fairfield Horseshoe
Sarah Pring Digital PR Manager at Sally’s Cottages said: “The Lake District is a popular UK destination for so many reasons, but arguably its stunning hikes are what draws in so many visitors from the UK – and the rest of the world.
"We know that hiking is becoming increasingly popular on platforms such as TikTok, so we wanted to showcase some of the best Cumbria has to offer – no matter your group’s ability.”
