CUMBRIA Police are investigating a burglary, which took place in Carlisle.
The burglary occurred at a property on Kingstown Road, between Windsor Way and Lowry Hill Road in Carlisle on April 24, between 11am and 4pm, where a quantity of jewellery was stolen.
The offenders gained access to the property after smashing the rear patio door of the house whilst the homeowners were out at work.
Officers would like to identify anyone in the area who may have witnessed any persons or vehicles in the area at the time, which could be connected to the offence, or any other suspicious activity, such as cold callers in the area, in the run up to the offence.
Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone who has CCTV or RING doorbell footage, which may be relevant to the investigation.
Police are aware of reports that males purporting to be recently released from prison, have been attempting to sell household items locally, in the last few weeks, which may or may not be connected to the burglary.
