Cumbrian hammer star Nick Miller has been named one of Britain's top ten all-time throwers by a leading athletics publication.
Athletics Weekly list Miller alongside leading names such as Steve Backley, Fatima Whitbread, Tessa Sanderson, Geoff Capes and Bob Weir.
Miller, from Scotby, is the British hammer record holder and a double Commonwealth Games champion.
He also competed for Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, finishing in an impressive sixth place, having also been a finalist at the Rio 2016 Games.
The 30-year-old's exploits over the years make him one of the country's all-time finest throwing athletes alongside fellow hammer throwers and other athletes competing in the discus, javelin and shot put.
Athletics Weekly rank Miller tenth in their best-ever list, writing of the Carlisle-born star: "During his 2018 Commonwealth win, Miller achieved Britain’s only 80-metre hammer throw (80.26m) to date.
"He retained his title in 2022 and also achieved top six placings in the 2017 World Championships and 2021 Olympics."
Backley is named the all-time greatest thrower in British athletics history, with fellow javelin stars Whitbread and Sanderson second and third.
Double Commonwealth shot put champion Capes, who went on to further stardom in the World's Strongest Man competitions, is ranked fourth.
Arthur Rowe, a shot put star in the 1950s and 1960s, is fifth, with Judy Oakes, Mick Hill, Sophie Hitchon and Weir taking the next places ahead of Miller.
