SUSPECTED human remains have been uncovered in the ongoing search for missing Annan man, Paul Taylor.
Officers have found what they believe to be human remains in Carlisle’s Finglandrigg Wood, off the B5307, as part of Operation Focus.
Police have urged the public to avoid the area while they continue their work at the scene.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "A police presence will be in the area for some time whilst officers continue with their work at the scene.
"Paul’s family have been informed of developments," they said.
Two people have already been charged in connection with the murder of Paul Taylor.
Jack Crawley, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder.
Marcus Goodfellow, of Greystone Road, Carlisle has been charged with assisting an offender.
