Sealy UK, part of the global network of Sealy International businesses and manufacturer of the Sealy Posturepedic mattress, has announced a new senior hire for the business, as sales continue to build following three years of transformation under new ownership.
Neil Clark has been appointed as Sealy UK’s general manager, having previously worked as managing director for UK & Ireland and regional director for Northern Europe & South Africa at Franke; a globally renowned leader in kitchen sink-ware and taps.
During his 19-year journey at Franke, Neil assumed several senior roles, including sales and marketing directorships, honing his expertise in strategic leadership.
In his new role, Clark will spearhead Sealy’s strategic growth initiatives, positioning Sealy within the premium sectors of the UK's mattress market, with a continued focus on NPD.
Mark Tuley, chief commercial officer at Sealy UK, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Neil to the Sealy family.
"His proven leadership, coupled with a passion for high quality local manufacturing, perfectly aligns with our vision for the future.”
Sealy UK claims its new appointment underscores the company's commitment to reinforcing its position as 'a leader in the industry, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional, world-class products and services to customers across the UK'.
Sealy manufactures bed products including mattresses and headboards at its factory in Aspatria.
In 2020, hundreds of jobs at the site were saved after the company re-acquired the rights and assets to manufacture and market Sealy and Stearns & Foster products from former licensee Silentnight Group.
