FORMER Center Parcs workers tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in front of family and friends.

Lauren Joanne Broadhurst-Rose, 26, who now works for the Cumberland Building Society, first met Nathan John Broadhurst, 26, a transport shift manager for ATL Carleton, when they worked together at Center Parcs Whinfell Forest many years ago.

Since then, the pair have been inseparable.

A few years later, Nathan knew Lauren was the one and planned to propose to her in her favourite place—but it did not turn out as he had hoped.

Lauren said: "We were supposed to get engaged on Saturday, August 29, 2022, in the Lake District at my favourite spot on a bank holiday, but it was super busy, and Nathan chickened out.

"He carried the ring around all day.

"Instead, we got engaged on Monday, August 30 2022.... in our living room with our bulldog Clio."

Lauren's bridesmaids and maid of honour organised a holiday to Magaluf in August 2023 for her hen do, and Nathan’s friends organised a weekend away in Wales for his stag.

Finally, the pair's big day arrived, as they were married at the gorgeous Hetland Hall in Dumfries on March 28, 2024.

Sarah said: "We had our wedding at 1 pm with 47 guests.

"Our favourite parts of the day were seeing all our guests and having all our closest friends and family all under one roof. We probably won’t get this opportunity again.

"My dress, groomsman suits and bridesmaid dresses are all from Carol's Bridal in Carlisle.

"Nathan's best man was Steven Fisher, and he had my dad, Jeff, and his dad, Derek, his cousin Luke, and my brother Matthew as groomsmen.

"My maid of honour was my sister Mollie Rose, and my bridesmaids were Aoife, Nikki, Sammy and Olivia.

"Our favours were Macmillan pin badges and our favourite sweets. We had our first dance to Ella Henderson's song 'Yours'.
