A CUMBRIAN paranormal investigations team appeared on national television.

Paranormal Investigations Cumbria UK appeared on Sky's Hold The Front Page with Josh Widdicombe and Nish Kumar.

In an episode that featured Newsquest Cumbria's own Westmorland Gazette, the team helped the famous television pair to take part in an investigation at Ring O Bells, a pub in Kendal.

They said: "We were contacted by the TV company to say that they would be filming Hold The Front Page and that they were on the lookout for paranormal investigators.

"The guy at Ring O Bells had been having paranormal activity happening with a particular ghost.

"They had a resident ghost that suddenly seemed to disappear off the radar. They wanted us to get in contact with the spirit and see if it was still around which is why we were called in.

"It was cool to meet Josh Widdicombe and Nish Kumar but we didn't really get a lot of time to speak with them, we just had to be ready in the pub for when they came in.

"As soon as they came in they started filming in the bar area and then turned around to us."

Hold The Front Page is a television series that explores the world of local news.

It follows the comedy duo's journey into the heart of grassroots journalism.

"We were told some of what to do from the film crew, we discussed ideas with them but didn't actually do that with Nish and Josh.

"We set up all of the equipment and they came over to us which can be seen on the TV show.

"We originally got the spirit box and had a couple of words come through that and then we went upstairs and decided to set up some equipment there.

"Right away it detected some movement and we were talking to one of the spirits there.

"We didn't actually contact the spirit that day but we did go back and make contact with the spirit that we were trying to find."
