The Northern Lights hit Cumbria on Friday night, resulting in some stunning pictures from across the county. 

The visibility of the Northern Lights was increased on Friday May 10 because of an “extreme” geomagnetic storm, according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
